The far-right is trying to use extreme scare tactics to stop the Gun Sense Majority in Virginia.
Everytown for Gun Safety

John — the NRA and far-right groups in Virginia have ramped up their extreme opposition to common-sense gun safety laws. Democratically elected lawmakers have received death threats because of their support for lifesaving gun laws. And extremists are talking about a civil war if the legislature acts on the promises they made to protect communities from gun violence.

Virginians elected a Gun Sense Majority last November, and they are ready to take action to prevent gun violence. But now, the far-right is trying to use extreme scare tactics to stop them. Contribute to our movement today to help us push back against this extremism and pass gun safety laws in states across the country.

COMBAT EXTREMISM

After historic wins for gun safety at the ballot box in November, Virginia is in the spotlight of far-right extremists nationwide. The NRA has even made sure the open carry loophole allows for armed intimidation at peaceful rallies.

We're seeing right now how the gun lobby and far-right act after losing elections — by threatening and intimidating those advocating for common sense legislation. Other state legislatures are opening up for 2020 across the country and we will be engaging in more and more campaigns to pass gun safety laws that will save lives. That's why we need your help today to fuel our campaigns to get us that much closer to ending gun violence in America.
