Action on climate can’t wait.

John, to prevent the most catastrophic effects of climate change, we must slash U.S. climate pollution in half by 2030 and achieve a net zero emissions economy by 2050. When you donate to EDF, you’re making a difference as we work to reach these ambitious goals, cut climate pollution and slow the rate of warming.

There are fewer than 10 days left to triple your impact for a safer climate future. From now through December 31, two long-time EDF donors will match every $1 you donate with $2 more.

You know that action on climate can’t wait. To turn climate action into results, we need the support of passionate, dedicated, generous people like you. Will you donate now to triple your impact for a safer climate future?

# EDF helped a coalition of 17 states, the District of Columbia and Quebec develop and adopt an action plan to achieve 30% zero-emission truck sales by 2030 and 100% by 2050. Ensuring all new trucks are electric will help address climate pollution and improve the health of communities that disproportionately suffer the effects of tailpipe pollution.
# EDF successfully advocated for state agencies to receive $560 million in funding, with billions more to come, to plug "orphan wells" — natural gas wells, abandoned by industry, which leak toxic pollution into our air and water. An estimated 5,000 wells will be plugged over the next year and 50,000+ wells plugged by 2030.
# California approved a rule to eliminate 100% of tailpipe pollution from new passenger vehicles by 2035. EDF worked with state officials and the EPA to correct the Trump administration’s unlawful attempt to prevent states from going above and beyond national clean vehicle standards.
# We placed more than 200 Climate Corps fellows in organizations in India, China and the U.S., where they worked on projects like supply chain sustainability at Williams-Sonoma, mapping a path to net zero emissions at Google and tackling food waste at grocery chains such as Albertsons.
