Run for Something
The number five popping out of a snowflake

Howdy John,

Today is Day 5 of Something, and I’m especially excited because we're talking about Clerk Work — our program dedicated to recruiting 5,000 election administrator positions in 30+ states.

We are going BIG with Clerk Work in 2023, which is why our first event of the year is specifically dedicated to helping you (and your friends, bring them too!) learn more about these critical offices.

We're holding a FREE online panel on January 9th to go over the ins and outs of running for an election administration position. Learn more and sign up >>
I'M THERE
This year alone showed us exactly how dangerous it is to neglect these offices. In Cochise County, Arizona, the Board of Supervisors voted 2-1 against certifying the election results over unfounded conspiracy theories about voting machines. They almost silenced 47,000 voters — it was only thanks to a lawsuit that the results were eventually certified.

In Pennsylvania, 117,000 votes were almost left out of the official count when the local board of elections voted 2-2 (a deadlock) to certify the results. They also finally certified after a lawsuit. (Shout out to RFS pal Marc Elias who was the lawyer in both cases!)

We're going to see challenges like this more and more frequently in elections to come IF we don't take action now.

That's why we're hosting "See Yourself Running: Election Administrator" — to inspire folks (like you and your friends!) to run for these crucial offices and defend our democracy.

Join us virtually on January 9th for See Yourself Running: Election Admin to learn more about what it takes to run for a democracy-saving office.
