John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:How does Musk give? ([link removed]
Before 2017, Elon Musk gave only relatively small donations through his foundation. Then he started giving tens of millions annually. Yet his giving is noticeably more neutral than most other political philanthropists. His personal donations history shows that, even in years when he donated largely to Democratic causes, he still donated to the National Republican Congressional Committee. Despite recapturing the House, Republicans were disappointed by the outcome of the midterm elections. The Left has an advantage with its voting infrastructure, through which it outspends conservatives four to one in "nonpartisan civic engagement" and charitable policy education. Republicans have already begun their counteroffensive. CRC's Michael Watson assesses the state of the political arms race here ([link removed] bankrolled the state races for secretary of state? The secretaries of state for each state serve as the top election officials of their jurisdictions. In the 2022 election, the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State (DASS) announced an $11 million campaign through its political action committee. This appeared like business as usual until CRC discovered that $8 million came from the "dark money" organization Every Eligible American, controlled by DASS. Bernie Marcus, the co-founder of Home Depot, has made his intentions as a donor very clear. In his new book, Marcus candidly recalls both his successes and failures as a philanthropist. “Dark Money” and Fake News
CRC's Parker Thayer appeared on Rob Schmitt Tonight on Newsmax to discuss "dark money." In the context of Sen. Josh Hawley's (R-MO) revelation that the Biden Administration's "disinformation board" was working with the Omidyar Network, a Democratic "dark money" group, Thayer explained that the Omidyar Network is just one of many left-wing "dark money" groups. These groups are trying to police what people think, and they have created networks of fake news organizations that push propaganda camouflaged as news.

Waking Up from Woke: Twitter Becomes Transparent
In this episode ([link removed] In recent weeks, Twitter CEO Elon Musk has directed the release of "The Twitter Files," internal documents detailing controversial decisions made by senior Twitter staff before Musk's takeover.
The first batch, reviewed and released on Twitter by independent left-leaning journalist Matt Taibbi, concerned the previous Twitter management's most controversial decision: suppression of the New York Post's reporting on the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop computer.
Joining CRC's Michael Watson to discuss Musk's approach, Taibbi's reporting, and the fallout from both are CRC's Sarah Lee and Ken Braun.
