Dear Friend,

[ [link removed] ]Why do you rise?

Everyone who is a part of this movement has a reason why they fight, day
after day, year after year, for a better tomorrow.

That reason could be a specific issue, like your lived experience that all
families need affordable child care in order to thrive. It might be
because you are beyond sick and tired of gun violence, and know the only
path to change is to keep fighting. Or perhaps you or a loved one have
benefited from paid family/medical leave or paid sick days, and want to
make sure all families have access to these essential workplace
policies. Whether you've got one reason or ALL the reasons to be in this
fight, we're grateful for your help!

[ [link removed] ]As we approach the end of 2022, will you share with us a few words
about why you rise and fight with MomsRising?

We'll share some of your responses throughout the rest of the year, to
motivate others to action. Also, we read everything you share with us and
love to know more about YOU - learning more about what each and every
member of our community cares about helps to shape our future work.

Here are some examples:

“I rise because I'm unwilling to stand by and be a spectator. I KNOW
change is possible, and nothing is more important than our kids future."

“I rise because the U.S. is the most dangerous place to give birth in
the developed world, and Black moms are dying at disparate rates across
the country from preventable, pregnancy-related complications."

“I rise because I have a child with type one diabetes. I fought for the
Affordable Care Act and now I'm fighting for affordable insulin.”

“I rise because I’m proud to have helped pass paid sick days in
Colorado!"

Your comments and stories will help inspire even more people to come off
the sidelines, will build our movement, increase our impact, and highlight
the diversity and power of our members as we move forward. Your comments
are powerful. It’s really YOU that guides this movement to build a nation
where ALL moms, dads, children and families can thrive.

[ [link removed] ]We want to know what motivates you to make a difference. Who do you
have in mind when you take action? Share your words, and photos – make
your statement!

We’d love to collect 100 comments by December 23. [ [link removed] ]Share a few words
with us right now!

[ [link removed] ]Please help us show the real power behind our movement -  YOU!  So tell
us, why do you rise?

Thank you for being a part of MomsRising.

- Kristin
