Hi team, like a lot of families with young kids, the holidays are the busiest time of the year for the McGarvey household. But this year has been a little different. On top of putting up Christmas decorations and baking cookies with the kids, I’ve been putting together my congressional office and preparing to go to Washington to be sworn in.

But today, I had to reach out to you before I head out to run some last-minute holiday errands.

A little over a month ago, we won this race and showed that Louisville wants progressive representation in Congress – even in a year that was supposed to be a Red Wave. Now, as I get ready to take up the mantle and become your Congressman, I’m clear-eyed about the challenges ahead of me.

I’m excited to fight for universal access to health care, expanded public education, and a renewable energy economy that creates good-paying jobs across Kentucky.

But, it’s apparent that the incoming Republican House majority doesn’t want any of those things. As I write this, House Republicans are putting together their plan for obstructing the President and rolling back progress.

I’m asking you to help me fight back against their radical agenda. Will you please chip in as much as you can afford this holiday season to help shore up our fight against the far-right GOP House majority?
