Volunteer cleanup spotlight
Residents and City staff clean up Carter-Riverside
The City of Fort Worth's monthly, special event litter cleanups continue throughout the city as part of the Litter: Stop It! Report It! Pick It Up! campaign. This month, a total of 26 volunteers, residents and City staff, removed litter in the Carter-Riverside area. They?cleaned up underpasses, neighborhood streets, and Sylvania Park. A street sweeper and a Madvac removed extra debris from the area.
In just a few hours on a Saturday morning, 138 bags of trash, 14 tires, and loose debris were collected, totaling 8,083 pounds of litter!
Working together makes a huge difference! Thank you to all volunteers and staff who participated!
