Hey --
There's a lot we don't know right now, John.
We don't know when the Senate impeachment trial will begin.
We don't know whether witnesses will be even called to testify.
We don't know whether Dwight's colleagues on the other side of the aisle will be impartial jurors -- though some have already explicitly stated they won't be.
But what we do know is that each of us must step up and demand a fair trial at all costs. Add your name to demand McConnell and his yes-men in the Senate put our country above party, respect their sacred Constitutional obligation, and ensure impartiality, transparency, and justice in Trump's impeachment trial.
Dwight didn't come to Congress to impeach a president -- he came to fight for the policies that will make life better for working families in Philadelphia and across the country. Like finding more money for affordable housing, or tax policies that help low income and middle-class families succeed instead of giveaways to corporations.
He also swore an oath to defend our country, its Constitution, and the people of this great nation. People like you, John.
Now is not the time to sit on the sidelines. It's time for lawmakers and citizens alike to stand up and demand better. We must send a message loud and clear to the Senate that nothing less than a fair impeachment trial will be tolerated. Sign the petition today >>
Thanks,
Michael
