Friend, Joe Manchin has far too much influence on American energy and climate policies.
This past summer, Manchin nearly doomed historic climate legislation because of his ties to the corrupt coal industry. But at the last second, he signed onto the bill – only after provisions were added to protect the use of fossil fuels and loosen regulations around drilling.
And Manchin still serves as Chair of the Senate’s most important environmental committee – it’s a disgrace.
REMEMBER: Senator Manchin has repeatedly ignored, stalled, or shot-down attempts to transition our country away from fossil fuels to sustainable energy alternatives.
He even called the goal of eliminating fossil fuels “very disturbing.”
Joe Manchin has shown time and time again that his wallet is more important to him than the livelihoods of our communities – he cannot be trusted with influence and power in our environmental committees any longer!
