Hey team,

Exciting news! Marriage equality has officially been made the law of the land:

The passage of this bill is a major victory for love in all its forms. This law makes the big step of recognizing and protecting same-sex marriage and interracial marriage nationwide, and requires states to recognize all valid marriages from other states, finally enshrining the right to marry whoever you love into federal law. For the LGBTQ+ community, for people of color, and for all their loved ones, this bill is cause for celebration, and I am so proud to have voted for it.

No one should ever have to doubt whether they can legally marry the person they love, and now they don’t have to. But our fight for true freedom for all Americans does not stop here. Republicans across the country are waging repeated, targeted attacks on the civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community, women, and people of color, and we have to do everything we can to stop them, especially with Republicans taking the House majority.

So please, can you chip in to help me continue fighting for freedom and stand up to the Republican Party’s extreme agenda?
