At 1:30 am this morning, appropriators in Congress dropped the $1.7 TRILLION omnibus spending bill drafted almost exclusively by two Senators – Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Richard Shelby (R-AL) – behind closed doors.

Nobody has been able to determine what’s in the bill, because nobody has had the time to read the colossal, 4,155-page document.

We know some of the top-line monstrosities within the bill, however:

>>> $45 billion to continue the bloodshed in Ukraine – far more than even the Biden regime asked for
>>> $5 billion in earmarks for 3,200 projects
>>> $47 billion for the National Institutes of Health, home of Dr. Fauci
>>> The Senate version of the “Electoral Count Reform Act,” which would violate the U.S. Constitution by stripping state legislatures of their authority to determine the manner of appointing presidential electors.

This bill is a slap in the face to all Americans who elected new leadership in Washington.

Just days before they fly home for Christmas, some politicians (many of whom are retiring and won’t be back in January) want to rob the American people of their hard-earned money to feed the Washington swamp.

We need 41 Senators to oppose this to kill the bill, now.

Because this is so urgent, we need you to take a moment to call your senators today and tomorrow as well. Just call (202) 224-3121 and ask to be connected to your U.S. Senators (either one first, then the other).

Here is a simple script:

Hi, this is (your name) calling from (your city). I’m calling to ask you to OPPOSE passing a budget deal right now.

This is a Lame Duck Congress, and the budget deal includes THOUSANDS of earmarks for more spending than ever before.

This is absolutely the wrong direction for America. We need LESS wasteful government spending, and the American people just voted for a new Congress. THEY should pass a budget AFTER they convene in January – NOT NOW. Thank you.

Remember, thanks to your petitions, emails, and phone calls, we were able to remove some of the most dangerous aspects of the National Defense Authorization Act.

You and I MUST continue to keep up the pressure on our lawmakers.
