After more than a year of investigation, subpoenas, and hearings, Congress found that despite pledging to expand on clean energy infrastructure and take steps to improve their carbon footprint, Big Oil remains committed to producing and selling oil and gas for many years to come. Investments in fossil fuel infrastructure fly in the face of the climate goals set worldwide, and the dogged determination of these companies to justify both their past and future actions while attacking climate activists working to preserve a livable planet is unconscionable.
Big Oil is raking in record profits while devastating our environment, and they’re misleading the public in the process. Enough is enough. It’s time to tax windfall profits and end taxpayer handouts to the fossil fuel industry. We don’t need to be subsidizing Big Oil, we need to be investing in clean energy solutions.

For decades now, Big Oil has known the effects of their products and practices on the planet and refused to take meaningful action to address them. They continue to pour obscene amounts of money into campaigns and lobbying to prevent the passage of any meaningful climate legislation that might hurt their bottom line. This congressional report has the power to push back by not only raising awareness of their lies, but by urging other government entities to continue this investigation and act on the information we’ve presented. That starts with ending taxpayer handouts to Big Oil companies.
