Our work in 2022 paid off in a big way — proving beyond a doubt how much potential our organizing has to end the Commonwealth’s underrepresentation crisis and reshape its political alignment.
So in 2023, we’re excited to announce, we’re doubling our staff, and expanding our operations to Philadelphia! As Pennsylvania’s biggest stronghold of young, immigrant, and Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color, this is a huge opportunity to make an even bigger impact in 2023 and 2024.

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
