some of the touching, and inspiring stories we’ve received this year
that remind us of the importance of our mission here at the Forward
Party. Today, I want to share with you Holden’s story.

My name
is Holden. I’m a bartender, a writer, and a political science
undergrad living in Connecticut. The Forward Party captured my
attention with its promise to be a new kind of party, not
just a new party.
I have never felt that I was able to identify with the
Democratic or Republican parties. For different reasons, both were
saying things that appeared completely out of touch with the reality
that I was seeing. As a Gen Z voter, I have never felt good about
casting a ballot for either side. A new party movement was always an
intriguing idea to me, but nobody was trying to build it. I was
thrilled to read that Mr. Yang was planning to launch a new party and
challenge the status quo.
The Forward Party is the first political movement that I
have felt truly compelled to be a part of. The party’s
priorities reach the heart of our country’s founding principles where
the major parties have failed: free people, thriving communities, and
vibrant democracy. In September, I had the opportunity to travel to
Houston to attend the launch of the party’s national tour. The people
I got to meet there came from all over the country; from New York
City, or New Mexico, or just a few miles away.
They had varying ideologies, and different
reasons for losing faith in the system, but they all shared one thing
in common: they left the event more ambitious and more hopeful about
the future than when they arrived. It was a deeply rewarding
experience for me, giving me a chance to connect with people who are
just as driven to find a pathway for change in this
country.
I hope
that you’ll join me and hundreds of thousands of Americans who demand
better representation from our government. You’ll meet a group of
equally compassionate and dedicated people who want to help you help
your country.
