It never gets any easier. When we see animals who are abused, neglected or left lonely and unloved, our hearts always break. Yet even in desperate circumstances, we often see something remarkable: hope from the animals we rescue. They’re purring … wagging their tails … nuzzling us as we bring them to safety.
No matter what these animal victims have been through, they still believe in the goodness of people.
They still believe in second chances.
