Friends:
PIH’s Haitian staff, known locally as Zanmi Lasante, are braving danger and instability to make sure all 17 of our hospitals and clinics stay open—no matter what. So far, they’ve kept each one open and delivering care.
When the cholera outbreak began we began laying the groundwork for a massive response.
That groundwork is now paying off. We established an airbridge last week, so essential supplies are currently being airlifted directly where they need to go. Those shipments mean lifesaving gear, including temporary cholera treatment units themselves, are arriving as we speak.
And, vaccine doses from the global stockpile have finally arrived, paving the way for an emergency vaccination campaign. We’re going on the offensive. Now is the time for your contribution, which will be DOUBLED by a group of generous donors.

In gratitude,
The PIH Team
