Dear friends,
In an addition to our hard-hitting reporting, City Limits trains the next generation of investigative journalists. Since 2014, City Limits has operated a youth journalism training program, CLARIFY. It gives high school students from underserved communities the opportunity to see their environment through the eyes of a public-service journalist, and with guidance from experienced journalism instructors, write and publish articles that can directly impact the quality of life in their own community. Running this internship program is important because it teaches youth local civics, while improving their news literacy and media awareness.
We have 12 days left until Dec 31 to reach our year end funding goal of $30,000 and we’re 72% there! Your donation will be doubled by NewsMatch, up to $1,000.
