Hello John,
I hope you are keeping well.
I'm getting in touch to let you know about our new “Local Champions” initiative, supporting young people who have benefited from youth work to advocate in their communities, as part of our Youth Work Changes Lives campaign.Â
We’ll be providing tailored training and ongoing support so that these new Local Champions gain skills in advocacy and how to work with and influence politicians to ensure investment in youth work is firmly placed on the political agenda.Â

Deadline for applications:Â apply online to become a Local Champion by December 21st.
Who is this for?
We are looking for as wide a geographical spread and as diverse a group of Local Champions as possible. So if you are under 30 and are, or have been, involved in youth work, we’d encourage you to apply.
Â
Why apply?
Local Champions will
- get first-hand experience of the political system Â
- learn the importance of local politics and local action Â
- develop valuable communication and persuasion skillsÂ
- meet other like-minded young peopleÂ
- give voice to your experience of youth work and much more...
You’ll find full details on the local champions page of our website.
Â
Please do register your interest or share this with anyone you think may be interested.
And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch – we’d love to hear what you think of this initiative John.
Kind regards,
Â
Paul
