Dear John,
As the year draws to a close, we are witness to strikes and industrial action on a scale not seen in decades. Our solidarity is with nurses, ambulance and transport workers, Royal Mail staff, to name but a few of those withdrawing their labour and organzing picket lines this winter.
All the while the government is sitting on the sidelines, aiming rather haplessly to devide and rule, while moving Britain backwards on the key issue of our time: by opening new coal mines and allowing new oil and gas exploration in the North Sea.
The desire and demand for change has rarely been greater. Greens across the country are making it happen, and we do our bit here in West Central London, too.
I am really glad to report that we now have active campaign teams preparing targeted local campaigns in Hammersmith and Fulham, Westminster and in Kensington & Chelsea looking towards the 2024 London elections for Major and Assembly. If you are keen to hear more and get involved, please get in touch, simply by reply.
All the while, it was lovely to see so many at our End-of-Year social earlier in December, chatting and (re-)connecting, and raising funds and supplies for foodbanks in our neighborhoods. Thank you especially to Kim Marshall, our membership officer, for making it happen.
We meet again, for our next regular meeting on the 9th January 2023, 7pm. Please register here (for online or in-person participation):

In the meantime, let me wish you some restful and reflective days and a very good start into the new year.
Best wishes
Fabian
