Coming Soon: New Vintage 2022 Population Estimates
On Thursday, December 22, we will release the July 1, 2022 population estimates for the nation, states, and Puerto Rico, as well as corresponding annual estimates and components of change since the 2020 Census.
The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program produces estimates of the population for the United States, its states, counties, cities, and towns, as well as for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and its municipios. Demographic components of population change (births, deaths, and migration) are produced at the national, state, and county levels of geography.Ā
Retail business owners, economists, and researchers will love discovering retail data the Census Bureau has to offer. In this Data Gem, we highlight theĀ Monthly State Retail Sales tool, which easily allows you to compare year-over-year retail data by sector for national and state-level geographies.
This course covers a baseline understanding of geographic concepts and what a beginner needs to know to find Census Bureau data for their area of interest. You will learn about the types of geographies while creatively touring examples of them in the real world.āÆEach module is followed by a bonus video demonstrating how to find a relevant geography in a Census Bureau data tool.
This course is designed for grant-writers, geographers, GIS-users, students, teachers and those who need to understand the underlying principles of Census Bureau geographic concepts to use our data.

The data are accompanied by a data visualization, which provides statistics for U.S. merchant wholesalers (excluding manufacturers' sales branches and offices).
