Right now, at the moment I’m writing this, 4,421 formerly homeless dogs and cats are enjoying loving homes in 2022 because of you, the PAWS Chicago community. And by the end of December, that number will be even higher.
We are so thankful for the many people who made this possible. But words simply don’t do it justice. I’d like you to see and, even more, feel in your heart the significance of what your support has achieved.
So, the next time you’re out of the city on a clear night, please look up. If conditions are just right, you can see over 4,400 stars shining through the darkness. Our adoption program will save even more than that this year. And that doesn't include the thousands of lives saved through free or subsidized medical care, outreach, education and support.
I hope it takes your breath away like it does mine.
During the harsh winter months, adoptions are even more important as each makes room for another animal in need of safety and warmth. If you were thinking about adding a furry little star to your family, there couldn’t be a better time.
