John,

Today is the final day for the House January 6^th Committee and they are
expected to refer charges against former President Donald Trump, as well
as possibly others tied to the attack on the capitol.

The importance of this moment cannot be understated.

Checks and balances are alive and well, as one part of our government
serves to hold another part accountable for criminal actions.

Power should not be so corrupting that it allows for the evasion of
justice.

No one should be above the law, not even the President of the United
States.

This meeting will serve as a way for the public to be directly engaged
with the process the House has undertaken over the last year in presenting
crucial and previously unreported evidence. Now, all of that has
culminated in the vote that will take place and charges being referred to
the Justice Department that will ultimately make the final call on
prosecution tactics.

While it seems that Justice is not entirely swift, it is done in a
methodical and important way: there is a process for this, even with
egregious crimes like those committed on and around January 6^th.

John, we know that someone like you is invested in this and
that you are ready for it to seem that, finally, those responsible for the
attack on the capitol will face the consequences.

But today will not be the end of MAGA, and that is why we will keep
fighting the ripple effect that this has created.

As a nation, we all should take a stand against it.

As an organization, we have a responsibility to make sure that the message
gets out, and that we are all in this together.
