Help Earthworks Protect Mining Communities

Dear John,

Thanks to you, we put the brakes on three reckless mining projects in Montana this year. We're also on the cusp of permanently protecting Alaska's Bristol Bay.

Looking ahead to 2023, we're not only going to continue waging individual battles like those, we're aiming for a general overhaul of the federal law that governs hardrock mining across the entire country—a law that has been damaging fragile ecosystems and mining communities for more than 150 years.

That's why I'm asking you to make a special year-end contribution to Earthworks.

Unfortunately, the Biden administration has been getting competing pressure from the mining industry, which is using increasing demand for lithium and other minerals needed for electric vehicles and other clean energy infrastructure as an argument to weaken key environmental regulations.

With the administration preparing to release its recommendations, we’re ratcheting up the pressure for the real reform that our environment and frontline communities need.

But we can’t do that without your help.

So please, click HERE now to make your generous contribution to Earthworks.

Thank you so much for whatever you’re able to give!

Sincerely,

Ann Corbett
Philanthropy Director, Earthworks

P.S. Help us protect natural wonders and frontline communities from reckless mines. Please give what you can today. And thanks again for all that you do!
