John

My bill, Secure 5G and Beyond, just passed the House with overwhelming bipartisan support!

This is an enormous victory for the future of our national security, but we still need the Senate to take action.

SENATE: PASS THE BILL >> [link removed]

John, here’s why this is so important to our national security:

5G is quickly becoming the dominant network for wireless technology. Right now, China is one of the leading manufacturers of the underlying components for these 5G networks, but Chinese dominance in this sector could be exploited to engage in espionage, monitor foreign corporations and governments, and support Chinese military operations.

Without a comprehensive and focused strategy on how the United States will secure its 5G network, we risk putting American families, businesses, and consumer data at risk.

The legislation the House just passed, the Secure 5G and Beyond Act, is a necessary step in protecting our communications infrastructure. This bill would require the administration to develop a comprehensive strategy to protect the United States and assist allies in maximizing the security of their 5G systems.

If you agree that our technological security is a priority, sign my petition and urge the Senate to vote on this important bill.

Thank you,
-Abigail
