Hi John,
🎶 On the 4th Day of Something, I'm emailing you
TOOOOOOOOOO VOLUNTEEEEEEEEEEEEEER 🎵
Cheesy caroling aside, our volunteers truly are the backbone of our candidate recruitment operation.
We've had over 125,000 people raise their hands to run for office over the last five (nearly six) years. And the first thing a person ready to run for office gets is a call from a Run for Something volunteer — because if someone is thinking about serving their community, they deserve a conversation.
These calls aren't to tell them how to raise money, pull voter files, or complete the paperwork to run. Our volunteers help guide potential candidates to identify the issues they're most passionate about and what difference they want to make in their community.
Our volunteers are the little nudge many of us need when we have a good idea. Someone who says, "Yes! You should totally do this!"
Not to mention, you may just get to meet the next Mallory McMorrow, Malcolm Kenyatta, or Lina Hidalgo. You could speak to the future county supervisor who casts the deciding vote to certify the 2024 presidential elections.
Pledge to join our volunteer crew in 2023. It is hands down one of the funnest, most inspiring volunteer opportunities in Democratic politics.
