Our worry is not the fabled singularity, where machines become self-sustaining and can think for themselves. Our caution should be a familiar one - that we're not putting our hope in the created. The created will fail us. God's enduring word provides us with an intelligence that creates out of nothing, needs no programming, and can lead us through any contingency. |

It happened on July 11, 2022 (also known as "11J"), in the city of Palma Soriano, in the eastern part of Cuba. On that date, thousands of Cubans took to the streets demanding freedom, and they ended in the largest protests against socialism in 60 years. |

These declared themselves Thursday evening after Elon Musk suspended several mainstream journalists for retweeting the location of his private airplane in real time. Among the suspended accounts were those of CNN's Donie O'Sullivan, The New York Times' Ryan Mac, The Washington Post's Drew Harwell, former Vox reporter Aaron Rupar, The Intercept's Micah Lee, and former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann. |

McCarthy: Delaying Omnibus Could Give GOP 'Policies that We Want' |

As the U.S. Senate passed a short-term government spending bill Thursday to extend the deadline for a year-long omnibus bill into next week, lawmakers on Capitol Hill continued to debate the measure. On Thursday evening, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) told Family Research Council President Tony Perkins that Republicans must persist in delaying the approval of the omnibus into the new year in order for the newly elected House GOP majority to set spending priorities. |
