The Administrative State Project
------------------------------------------------------------
The administrative state is a term used to describe the phenomenon of executive branch administrative agencies exercising the power to create, adjudicate, and enforce their own rules. Five pillars are key to understanding the main areas of debate about the nature and scope of administrative agency action: nondelegation, judicial deference, executive control of agencies, procedural rights, and agency dynamics.
Ballotpedia's Administrative State Project is an encyclopedic overview of the administrative state ([link removed] . It tracks various aspects of the United States government activity on a regular basis, including the number of federal administrative agency documents and total pages added weekly to the Federal Register ([link removed] since the beginning of 2017. It also covers, laws, court cases, executive orders, philosophical concepts, scholarly work, and other material related to the administrative state.
The Administrative State Project not only offers articles about the nature and scope of the administrative state, but also various educational opportunities such as Learning Journeys ([link removed] and Expeditions ([link removed] .
We are able to offer this wide array of opportunities that our readers can tailor to fit their busy schedules thanks to the continued support of our Ballotpedia community. ([link removed]
