Signatures are in

This week, I think it's safe to say that our hardworking team of volunteers, county coordinators, and field staff for Governor Eric Holcomb put a lot of miles on their cars. That's because together they filed more than 9,000 petition signatures from Hoosiers at county courthouses and government offices in every one of Indiana's 92 counties for Governor Holcomb and President Trump.

Governor Holcomb and President Trump are getting on the ballot for reelection, and it's all because of our organized, mobilized and energized team.

Here in Indiana, to get on a statewide ballot for governor or president, you're required to collect signatures from at least 500 Hoosiers in each of Indiana's nine congressional districts. Well, we hit that goal (plus some!) back in October. We got well over the required number of signatures, and we got them from every single county in the state.

When you hear Governor Holcomb talk about how he's dedicated to serving ALL Hoosiers, he really means it. He's Putting People First. This campaign is about Hoosiers everywhere...and that includes the signatures it takes to get on the ballot.

Thanks to everyone who helped collect signatures and made this possible!

Governor Holcomb's Week That Was

Developing a 21st Century Workforce & Breaking Records

Governor Holcomb is working hard to find ways to skill-up our workforce and attract high-wage jobs to our state.

  • McDonald's Archways to Opportunity: On Thursday, Governor Holcomb attended the launch of the Archways to Opportunity education program. This partnership between McDonalds and Ivy Tech will help McDonald's employees who are enrolled at Ivy Tech gain the skills they need to earn a better paying, in-demand job. In addition to tuition assistance, McDonald's will also offer on-the-job training and classes, helping these Hoosiers earn a degree even faster. Learn more here.

  • Record Wage for Job Commitments: On Monday, Governor Holcomb announced news that'll have a big impact on Hoosier pocketbooks. That’s because Indiana attracted 27,137 new Hoosier job commitments in 2019…and those new jobs have a record-high average wage of $28.60/hour (equivalent of $59,500/year). This is the highest average wage for job commitments since the Indiana Economic Development Corporation was established in 2005! Learn more here.

Governor Holcomb is dedicated to skilling-up hardworking Hoosiers and bringing high-wage, in-demand jobs to Indiana. This is just another way that Governor Holcomb is working hard to continue Putting People First!
