Notice a pattern? The far right is dominating cable news in America,
pushing their agenda to tens of millions of Americans for hours and hours
each and every day. 

This is exactly how lies about COVID, conspiracy theories about the
election, and despicable attacks on the LGBTQ+ community are spread.

But MoveOn has a plan to fight back. Our in-house communications team is

John, MAGA isn't winning just on cable news. The far right is
also winning over converts on social media platforms.

In fact, one study found that tweets containing falsehoods were 70% more
likely to be retweeted than truthful tweets.^2

And now that right-wing billionaire Elon Musk owns Twitter, the problem is
only getting worse. In the 12 hours after Musk became Twitter CEO, there
was a 500% increase in use of the N-word.^3

Twitter has also since seen a rise in antisemitism, misogyny, and
transphobia.^4

To combat MAGA's takeover of social media, MoveOn's communications team
creates videos and other content for social media that directly pushes
back against the onslaught of right-wing talking points, racism, and
outright lies with powerful, fact-based content that inspires viewers and
encourages them to get involved.
