There is a special election taking place in Virginia’s 4th District to replace the late Congressman Donald McEachin, and it’s a big deal. Tuesday is the Democratic primary, and pro-choice State Senator Jennifer McClellan needs and deserves our full support. With such narrow margins in the House, every Democratic representative in Congress can make the difference in passing important legislation.

Senator McClellan is being challenged in the primary by a controversial anti-choice Democrat (you read that right, Democrat) who would side with extremists in Washington and vote to rip away the right to abortion from people across the country.

When I announced my candidacy for the special election in NY-19, I made it clear: We cannot be a free country if the government tries to control our bodies and private healthcare decisions. I won’t stand by while politicians from any party undermine our freedoms.

Senator McClellan is endorsed by NewDem Action Fund, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and many of the organizations that were instrumental to our unprecedented win in August. I know what it takes to run and win a tough special election, and Jennifer has it. That's why I'm reaching out to you today:
