John, one thing I’ve learned as the Executive Director of Women’s March is that there’s no such thing as a free march.
Sure, people can make their signs and just show up.
But there’s a ton of behind-the-scenes organizing and preparation that has to take place before anyone takes to the streets.
Getting out the word about the march before it takes place. Getting permits in place to hit the streets. Getting logistical supplies ordered and ready to go the moment they’re needed.
These are the hurdles we’re coming up against RIGHT NOW ahead of our #BiggerThanRoe marches on January 22nd.
I’m beyond proud that Women’s March is entirely funded by real, grassroots donors like you. And I know that we can count on you when we need you — because, as always, WE show up for US.
