Elise and NY Representatives Call for a Special Counsel to Investigate Tish James

This week, Elise and fellow New York Representatives wrote a letter urging for the appointment of an independent special counsel to investigate New York Attorney General Letitia James’ egregious handling of her staffer’s sexual harassment case. The letter said in part:

“We write to express our strong concern regarding the sexual misconduct of Ibrahim Khan, chief of staff to Attorney General Letitia James, and the mishandling of the subsequent internal investigation Ms. James’s oversaw into the incident. To restore public trust, we ask that you immediately appoint a special prosecutor to investigate both the sexual harassment claims as well as Attorney General James’s mishandling of the incident and subsequent internal inquiry,”

Elise and House Republicans Reject Democrats’ Spending Bill

This week, Elise and House Republicans stood firm against more out-of-control spending by the Lame Duck Democrats who are trying to push their reckless, radical agenda through their new spending bill. House Democrats spent the last two years running up the tab on the backs of hard working Americans, and Republicans rejected this latest scheme. Elise released the following statement:

“House Democrats have failed to govern. One-party Democrat rule in Washington has increased the price of almost everything for every hardworking family and created the most expensive Christmas in history. At the final hour, Lame Duck Democrats are failing to responsibly keep the government running in pursuit of their radical agenda. From the beginning, Democrats have cut House Republicans out of negotiations to attempt one more Far Left radical spending package before they lose power. I will reject the Far Left’s wish list that pushes trillions of taxpayer dollars to fund their radical agenda and, on day one in the Republican majority, am committed to reining in Democrats’ reckless spending and failed policies.”

UPDATE: Elise’s Investigation Into the FBI’s Involvement in the Schoharie Limousine Crash Continues
Elise continues to push for answers regarding the FBI’s involvement in the tragic 2018 Schoharie limousine crash. This week, Elise sent another letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray stating that subpoenas are coming if they fail to sufficiently complete an internal review of the Bureau’s potential involvement in and response to the crash.

Elise Discusses Plans to Investigate Hunter Biden as a Matter of National Security

This week, Elise joined Representative James Comer (R-KY) in an interview with Breitbart News. Elise and James shared their plan to look further into the Biden family business after Hunter was seen selling his artwork for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Ties have been found between Hunter and Georges Berges, an art dealer who has strong connections to the Chinese market. In a joint statement, Elise and Rep. James Comer said:

“We already know Hunter Biden made millions off of his corrupt business dealings with the Chinese Communist Party. We must know how far Hunter Biden’s corruption goes as a matter of national security.”

Elise Helps Deliver Environmental Protections to the St. Lawrence River and Lake Champlain
This week Elise continued to make headlines for delivering more real results for NY-21 following her bipartisan efforts to protect and preserve both the St. Lawrence River and Lake Champlain’s ecosystems. Elise said:

“I’m proud to work to ensure our natural ecosystems in Upstate New York and the North Country are protected for generations to come. I will always bring the concerns of New York’s 21st District to the highest levels, and when I saw the St. Lawrence River was left out of the scope of the U.S. Coast Guard’s critical work, I took bipartisan action to preserve and protect our river communities against oil spills by supporting the research and response. Additionally, I have worked to protect and support Lake Champlain’s natural biodiversity by authorizing the construction of an invasive species barrier. Following my advocacy, these critical provisions to protect and preserve our ecosystems are on their way to becoming law.”
