The Trevor Project

Friend, we’re missing your note of encouragement to LGBTQ young people this holiday season.

But good news! There’s still time to send a letter today. Remember: the holidays can be a particularly stressful time for LGBTQ young people who may not have supportive home environments or access to affirming spaces.

Any letter you send today will let LGBTQ young people know that they are seen and loved for exactly who they are.

CAN WE COUNT ON YOU TO SEND A QUICK NOTE TO LGBTQ YOUTH?

For inspiration, imagine you're writing to a young LGBTQ person who needs support. This could even be yourself, like Jesse Tyler Ferguson wrote in his note:

I never imagined my life would turn out the way it has. I never imagined I would have a career that I am so passionate about and I definitely never thought marriage would be possible, and now, I’m living in my truth every day and am very happily married to a man I love.”

Many have already written notes to LGBTQ young people who need support because they know it’s a powerful action — we’re just missing your letter, Friend! Like our friend Busy Philipps says:

SHOW UP LOUDLY: WRITE A QUICK NOTE

Thank you for showing up for LGBTQ young people this holiday season. And if you’re celebrating Hanukkah this evening, we wish you a Hanukkah sameach (happy Hanukkah!) ❤️.
