AFGE Activist,

For 50 years, EPA has operated with a singular mission: to protect human health and the environment. And EPA employees have been on the frontlines, cleaning up contaminated land, and ensuring that our air is safe to breathe and our water is safe to drink.

But now the administration is on a rampage, and EPA workers are caught in the cross-hairs. While rolling back dozens of environmental rules and regulations, the Administration has cut agency staffing to the lowest levels since 1985. They’ve intimidated and silenced scientists, and gutted our labor rights. They’re erasing decades of scientific and public health advancement.

We can’t let them get away with it. That’s why AFGE EPA Council 238 launched the EPA Workers’ Bill of Rights to #ProtectEPA.

Our demands are simple: fair working conditions and the right to do the job we were hired to do – protect public health and the environment. This bill of rights reflects the key issues EPA workers will bring to the bargaining table. They are critical in the fight for a fair contract. Add your name now.

As part of our bargaining strategy, we’re bringing the EPA Workers’ Bill of Rights to the table to help us to win a fair contract to #ProtectEPA.

With the climate crisis reaching a fever pitch and science-deniers doing everything they can to block common-sense research, we can’t afford to lose any more EPA employees.

And we won’t be bullied or intimidated. EPA employees work day-in, day-out, committing their careers to protecting human health and the environment. All workers should be empowered to do their vital work without fear of reprisal.

Sign on now to #ProtectEPA and share with your friends.

We’re collecting tens of thousands of signatures – from EPA employees, environmental activists, elected officials, and more – to send a message loud and clear: #ProtectEPA!

Let's show our solidarity with EPA workers.

In Solidarity,

Dr. Everett Kelley
AFGE National Secretary-Treasurer
