Keeping Americans Safe

President Trump took decisive action to rid the world of a known terrorist, Qasem Soleimani. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark A. Milley said that there was "clear, unambiguous intelligence indicating a significant campaign of violence against the United States in the days, weeks, and months," and that the administration would have been "culpably negligent" if it didn't act. Democrats ignored the intelligence and passed a war powers resolution to tie President Trump's hands from protecting American lives. Watch an excerpt from my speech on the House floor this week:

Casework Highlight

A single mother in our district was diagnosed with numerous health problems that rendered her unable to work and provide for her four children. Her initial request for Social Security Disability was declined, so she reached out to our office. We worked with the North Phoenix Office of Hearing Operations to expedite the scheduling of her hearing, and at her hearing she received a favorable judgment!

Wounded Warriors

My office is seeking a wounded warrior or medically retired veteran for a two-year paid fellowship in our Surprise, AZ district office. To qualify, veterans must meet all of the following requirements: Honorably discharged, released from active duty within the last five years, terminal pay grades at or below E-5 or O-3, 20% or greater service connected disabilities (waived if you have a Purple Heart). Veterans who are in receipt of a 20-year or Temporary Early Retirement Authorization (TERA) retirement are not eligible for the program. If you or someone you know is interested, please visit https://www.usajobs.gov/ and search “Wounded Warrior Fellowship Program” for more information and how to apply.
