Morris County Republicans Attack Young Dems Voting Rights!
Hi John,
Mendham Township Deputy Mayor Tom Baio, a Republican, lost re-election by a narrow margin. Baio asked for a recount and said he would abide by the results. The recount upheld his loss, by a final margin of three votes.
The election results have been certified twice with Democrat Lauren Spirig as the winner!
Instead of graciously conceding, Baio and the Morris County Republican Committee are contesting the election by trying to throw out the votes of dozens of young Democrats!
They are seeking to disenfranchise young voters, without an adequate legal basis for doing so. [link removed] [[link removed]]
