We’ve got good news and bad news.
First, the good news: House Democrats delivered for the American people yet again by passing the Respect for Marriage Act. Now, no matter what the Supreme Court does, LGBTQ marriage rights will be protected!
But here’s the bad news: Republicans offered a preview of what the House Majority will be like under their leadership … and, unsurprisingly, it’s not good.
That’s because the vast majority of House Republicans voted AGAINST protecting Americans’ basic rights, PROVING that the GOP is still in the dark ages. And, even with a narrow majority, they’ll soon have the power to pass their backward agenda!
