Last week, Governor Walz traveled to Kuwait to visit members of the Minnesota National Guard?s 347th Regional Support Group and members of the RSG?s 147th Human Resources Company serving abroad this holiday season.?
*?It was my honor to spend time with the service members serving our country in Kuwait,?*?said Governor Walz.?*?While many Minnesotans will gather with family and friends this holiday season, there are many others who have chosen to sacrifice time with their loved ones to protect us. As a 24-year veteran of the National Guard, I know what it?s like to be away from home and family. Thank you to the brave men and women at home and abroad who fight to defend our safety and freedom every day.?*

Governor Walz announced $4.6 million in funding for four businesses across Minnesota?? an investment that is?expected to create 276 jobs over the next three years.

Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan celebrated 14 straight months of job growth in Minnesota. Minnesota gained 99,983 payroll jobs, up 3.5 percent over the year, outpacing the country?s employment growth rate of 3.2 percent.
