We hope you are doing well and thank you for all your support. The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota is hiring for the following positions:
Public Policy Director
ILCM's public policy activities, currently overseen by the Executive Director and the Public Policy Committee of the Board of Directors, includes narrative change work and public policy work directly with a wide range of stakeholders, including immigrant and refugee organizations, grassroots organizations, issue-based coalitions, government
officials, labor unions, religious organizations, and professional groups. ILCM aims to fortify its vital role in the ecosystem of organizations working to make Minnesota more welcoming to immigrant and refugee communities by hiring a public policy director to serve as a technical expert, outstanding communicator, and trusted convener for immigrants and immigrant-led organizations advocating for welcoming policies at the local, state, and federal levels. The Public Policy Director reports to the Executive Director and is part of the leadership team.
Receptionist (Full-time or Part-time)
The Receptionist is the initial contact person for clients, staff, and all visitors to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. This position is responsible for providing professional, courteous, and effective service in addition to other general office functions.
Southwestern MN Legal Assistant: Serving Survivors of Domestic Violence
The Legal Assistant will primarily provide immigration legal assistance to low-income immigrant survivors of domestic violence. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing immigration legal assistance to low-income immigrants and refugees as supervised by a licensed attorney. The Legal Assistant performs a variety of administrative duties like checking mail, scanning documents, writing letters, gathering information and answering phones, screening new clients, communicating with attorneys, and clients. The Legal Assistant will work closely with domestic violence advocates in southwestern Minnesota and hold office hours with partner organizations. ILCM envisions that the individual in this role would ultimately become a Department of Justice (DOJ) accredited representative who will be able to represent clients in USCIS affirmative cases and interviews. This position will be based in Worthington, MN or in St. Paul, MN with regular travel to Southwestern Minnesota.
