Breaking news, John: A new poll has revealed that passing my bill, the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act , is the number one priority for Americans before the end of the year.

Our country has the worst maternal mortality rate in the developed world, and it’s driven by far higher mortality rates among Black mothers and birthing people of color.

Today, Black women are three to four times more likely than white women to die from pregnancy-related complications. These alarming statistics are an urgent call to action that we have a responsibility to answer.

Far too many families have lost mothers, daughters, and sisters to our nation’s maternal health crisis — and my Momnibus package is the solution.

More than 70% of Americans agree that Congress must send this bill to President Biden’s desk before the end of the year, so now, I’m asking for you to join me in putting the pressure on so we can get this done.
