Jennifer McClellan is running for a seat that was previously held by NewDem Rep. Donald McEachin, who recently passed away. We believe she embodies our coalition’s commitment to growing our economy by creating new opportunities and good jobs by putting results over rhetoric. And if elected, she would become the first Black Congresswoman from Virginia.

This is the first major race since the midterm elections – and we only have four days before the primary.

She’s earned a reputation as a strong legislative champion for Virginians. However, she faces a crowded firehouse primary, with one challenger being a notorious pro-life member of the Virginia General Assembly who cannot be counted on to defend reproductive freedom if elected to Congress.
