My bill to rename a Placentia post office after U.S. Army PFC Jang Ho Kim passed the House this week. We can enjoy our freedoms because of the sacrifice of those who have served. I'm thrilled we are one step closer to preserving his story. Learn More. This year the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed 33 new rules, nearly triple the average since 2012. I'm leading the Review Expansion of Government (REG) Act to ensure rules are modernized, not burdening small businesses, and are working as intended. I’ll keep fighting for a streamlined, transparent federal government that is accountable to taxpayers. Learn More. The Biden administration cannot deflect and deny their way out of the border crisis. We need action. That's why I have visited the Southern border three times and introduced a bill to gain operational control of every mile of our border. Watch here. This year’s CA-39 The Congressional App Challenge was the largest challenge in the nation with 192 student teams competing! Congrats to our winner, Walnut High School Senior Hudson Kaleb Dy! I look forward to working together to shed light on how burdensome regulatory compliance costs are detrimental to small businesses and entrepreneurs. Team Young honored outgoing council members in Buena Park, including Dr. Beth Swift who has served our community for 12 years. Thank you for your commitment to Buena Park. You will be missed! I was honored to recognize their contributions to our area for the past 30 years. Penny Foskaris turned years of health struggles into a passionate small business that helps others regain their strength and wellbeing. Team Young was glad to join the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce for the Foskaris Wellness ribbon cutting in Anaheim. I loved being with DAV Chapter 23 and Anaheim VFW Post 3173 to celebrate the holidays and share how my office can assist our local veterans with disability claims, corrected military records, lost medals and more. Brian and Liz Farley own Fullerton staples Brian's Original Sports Bar, which opened nearly four decades ago, and Big B's Barbecue. I caught up with them and recognized their hard work in our community. I’m proud to fight for our small businesses in Congress. Roscoe’s Famous Deli and Heroes Bar and Grill in Fullerton are both owned by entrepreneur Jack Franklyn Sr and have been a vital part of our area for decades. Thank you, Jack, for all that you do to uplift our community! I’m proud that Team Young has returned $17 million+ back to CA-39 taxpayers and helped 3,500+ constituents receive assistance from federal agencies like the IRS, SBA and the VA.
