'Cry Havoc and Let Loose the Dogs of
Separatism'
Winston Peters, speaking in Hastings on the 4th of December,
blasted the Labour party's Maori caucus for their pursuit of their
divisive Co-Governance agenda. "They call themselves ‘The First
Fifteen’ like the All Blacks or the Black Ferns. The rest in Labour
are the second and third fifteen, and a collection of hangers-on. They
are not a ‘broad church’, their previous proud claim, for disagreement
and diversity. They have become ‘two-churches’, one ‘Labour Maori
Church’, and the other the ‘Non-Maori Labour Church’ - including it
would seem the Prime Minister."
Peters highlighted the Government's failures to tackle the
pressing issues facing many ordinary New Zealanders like crime, the
cost of living, and much more. Read the full speech below.
'Winston Peters slams the government for spike in
crime'
New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters has slammed the Government
for its failure to curb the rising crime rate in the country and
sympathised with the Indian business community for the current state
of insecurity.
“Indian businesses contribute significantly to the development
of our economy and the progress of our country. They have the right to
safety and the current rise in aggravated robbery and other offences
is unforgivable. We should hold the Government to account.”

The Shane Jones Podcast: The Shotgun Marriage of TVNZ and
RNZ
In this episode of the Shane Jones podcast, Shane highlights the
concerns many in the industry have about the RNZ + TVNZ merger,
labelling it a "shotgun marriage" being forced through by an
ideologically driven government. Shane highlights how the Government
has removed accountability for the public media entities and why this
is damaging for New Zealand's fourth estate.

Shane Jones: Be wary of hasty judges and patsy
politicians
In this opinion piece, Shane Jones reflects of the Supreme
Court's decision that 16 year-olds should have the right to vote,
"It is said that time and reflection deepen insight and
produce understanding. Sadly, such folksy learnings seem absent from
the current doings of our Supreme Court.
Its decision that 16-year-old
tamariki should be voting in parliamentary
elections reveals a paucity of reflection and
understanding."

New Zealand First continues string of
strong polling in recent public opinion
polls.
Our team is working hard on behalf of those
New Zealanders who are concerned about the social and economic
direction of our country.
We're appealing to 'Bring Back Balance' to politics by ensuring New
Zealand First returns to Parliament to represent kiwis disillusioned
with the options they currently have.

As we approach the end of 2022, it is important to reflect on the
year that has passed. New Zealand First has continued to fight for
everyday New Zealander's throughout 2022. Take a look at some
of our most important moments of 2022.
On February 23rd, Winston Peters appeared on the
AM show to speak about his visit to the Parliament protest. Winston
Peters feared there will be "further problems" at the Wellington
protest if Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and her Cabinet don't engage
with the protesters. The Government's failure to listen was a
self-fulfilling prophecy.
On May 4th, Winston Peters announced Judicial
Review Action against Speaker Trevor Mallard for his unlawful
trespassing of Peters from Parliament. On October
20th, Peters' judicial action was justified by the courts.

On July 22nd, the High Court confirmed that no
crime had been committed and New Zealand First had again been cleared
of all charges in the SFO's New Zealand First Foundation case. In a
press release, New Zealand First leader Winston Peters said, "From
the moment these spurious allegations were first raised and then
perpetuated by many in the media, day after day, and month after
month, I maintained that there had been no wrongdoing."

On August 21st, New Zealand First leader Winston
Peters delivered his 'Democracy not Co-Governance' speech at the
Warkworth town hall. This public meeting kicked off our 2022
'Listening Tour' in which we travelled the country talking to ordinary
New Zealanders about the tough issues facing them. In 2022 we visited
Gore, Christchurch, Tauranga, Hastings, New Plymouth, and Warkworth.
With packed out venues at every stop, it's clear New Zealand is
looking for experienced representation in Parliament, and for a strong
team to bring their voices to Parliament. The tour will continue in
2023.
Watch the Warkworth speech that launched it all below.
On November 20th New Zealand First completely
ruled out working with the present Labour party, and Jacinda Ardern,
after the 2023 election. In an exclusive interview with Audrey Young,
New Zealand First leader Winston Peters said, "We are not going to
go with the Labour Party, this present Labour Party crowd, because
they can’t be trusted.
You don’t get a second time to lie to me, or my party and they
did."
