Monday, Rep. Stephanie Bice (OK-05) and Nikki Haley shared a video of a large group of migrants passing through El Paso. The El Paso Sector has averaged over 2,000 illegal crossings a day and has seen a 255% increase in encounters this year alone. Click below to read more. 

Tuesday, Rep. Beth Van Duyne (TX-24) and Sen. Joni Ernst (IA) observed the 386th birthday of the National Guard. Ernst shared an old picture of her time serving in the guard. 

Also Tuesday, Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA-03) sadly addressed the House floor for the last time. Thank you Rep. Beautler for your twelve years of leadership. Your voice in Congress will be truly missed. 

Wednesday, WBRC’s Jonathan Hardison sat down with Alabama's Senator-elect Katie Britt. In an exclusive interview, they discussed education, border security, stopping the flow of fentanyl, expanding broadband access, and cutting inflation. NBC: Oregon elects first Hispanic members of Congress, Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer and Democrat Andrea Salinas. Democratic state Rep. Andrea Salinas won her race against Republican businessman Mike Erickson to represent Oregon’s 6th Congressional District while Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer, a former suburban mayor, defeated Democrat Jamie McLeod-Skinner to represent the state’s 5th Congressional District.

KIWA Radio: Hinson backs legislation to modernize childcare program. Iowa Congresswoman, Ashley Hinson, a Republican from Marion, is co-sponsoring legislation to reauthorize and modernize the bipartisan Childcare and Development Block Grant, or CDBG program. It sends federal dollars to states to help them with childcare access.
