The Foulest Lame Duck Spending πŸ¦†

A Republican-led House of Representatives is less than one month awayβ€”and the
Democrats are determined to spend as much of your money as possible before they
get the boot.

Right now, we’re suffering through what’s called a β€œlame duck session”—the
period after an election, right before a new Congress is sworn into office,
where many members are hungry to finish upurgent business
<[link removed]>
and get home for December festivities.

While I am all for taking care of business to spend time with loved ones, I am
not for reckless spending that will ramp up our alreadyoutrageous inflation
<[link removed]>
andcolossal national debt
<[link removed]>. Think I am
ringing the alarm bells too soon?

Congress is considering spending proposals that add up to more than $3.3
trillion
<[link removed]> on
top of the already egregious $5 trillion they’ve shelled out in the last two
years alone.

This kind of reckless spending spree is the reason why so many Americans are
struggling to pay bills and put food on the table for their families. It is up
to Republicans to hold the line until we can get the fiscally responsible House
theyvoted for.

Congressional Gold Medal For Rodrick Edmonds πŸ…

The mission
<[link removed]>
to get Master Sgt. Rodrick "Roddie" Edmonds the Congressional Gold Medal
continues! This local hero refused to identify Jewish servicemen to Nazi
soldiers in a German prisoner-of-war camp, Stalag IXA. While the legislation
for the medal did not make it through this time around, my office is working to
sponsor legislation to issue the award to Edmonds in the next session. In the
meantime, I want to extend my sincerest appreciation to the late Master Sgt.
Edmonds and his family for serving God, his country, and humanity.
