John,

Exciting news to share! In the upcoming session of Congress, I will have some new leadership roles. First, I was chosen by the House Democratic Caucus to chair the Caucus Procedures Committee which includes all of our caucus rules and procedures. This also puts me on the Steering and Policy Committee, which plays an important advisory role to Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and the rest of the caucus. Finally, as we prepare to swear-in the largest Progressive Caucus (CPC) in history with 103 members, I was honored to be elected as a CPC’s Vice-Chair-at-Large.

I don’t take these responsibilities lightly, John. I’m ready to get to work in the new session ensuring that our democratic values are upheld. We have a lot of important work ahead continuing and expanding upon the accomplishments we’ve achieved these past few years.

From climate justice to a fair economy, affordable health care, comprehensive immigration reform, and more – my fellow Democrats and I are eager to deliver results for working Americans.

It’s time for solutions that prioritize people over special interests, to fight for equality, and to confront threats to our environment and civil rights.

I look forward to serving in these leadership roles and to working with you to deliver more progress.
