In Washington, the Swamp never sleeps. Republican Senators are plotting with their Democrat colleagues to ram through one last spending binge in the week before Christmas that will cost more than Biden's American Rescue Plan.
Congress is on the verge of passing a nearly $2 trillion spending bill that contains 7,500 earmarks without public input. If this vote were based on the merits, and not preying upon concerns about shutting down the government, there is little chance the bill would pass. It reveals that this decision to rush the bill and hide the ball from the American people is intentional.
Our country shouldn’t be governed via backroom deals rushed through at the last minute. The economy is a mess - inflation and our national debt have never been higher. Families everywhere are already feeling the pinch of higher prices this holiday season- the last thing we need is more unaccountable and wasteful spending.
This is not the leadership the American people expect or deserve. I will fight against this bill and will push break the status quo here in Washington. I can assure you that I will be voting no on the omnibus spending spree next week.

Migrant Mayhem
Our Southern Border is a disaster zone.
This year, according to the Customs and Border Protection Agency (CBP) at least 2.76 million migrants crossed the border, and there are at least 604,000 known gotaways according to October’s CBP report.
Title 42, one of the last Trump-era border security measures left in place was extended temporarily by a federal judge, but it is scheduled to end in the near future. In fact, before the judge’s ruling, a new flood of migrants crossed the border in El Paso. 14,000 illegal immigrants are expected to enter the country each day.
This isn’t an accident - it’s a purposeful invasion spurred by the Biden Administration’s egregious policies. It’s dangerous for Americans, dangerous for migrants, and dangerous for border patrol agents.
Tragically, we now must mourn the passing of U.S. Border Patrol agent, Raul Humberto Gonzalez Jr. Agent Gonzalez passed away near Mission, TX as he attempted to chase down a group of illegal aliens crossing our southern border. He was laid to rest this week.

The Biden Administration’s lawless border policy continues to cause destruction on a massive scale. Meanwhile, Senators Tillis (R-NC) and Sinema (I-AZ) are attempting to shove through a plan to provide amnesty for an additional two million illegal aliens while doing nothing to build a wall and stop the southern invasion.
Rest assured that I will do everything in my power to fight against plans to provide amnesty and any other policies that may arise next Congress.

No More Immigration Loopholes
In addition to our porous border, our legal immigration system is fundamentally broken. The Chinese Communist Party abuses loopholes to infiltrate American universities, businesses, and government institutions. Congress, at the absolute minimum, should block CCP members from gaining visas through our broken legal immigration system.
The EAGLE Act was just the latest attempt to further undermine our national security. Thankfully, the bill didn’t have enough support to even receive a vote on the floor. I proposed an amendment to the Eagle Act that would block Communist espionage and protect the United States - and if this bill is resurrected next Congress, I will fight to prevent it from becoming law.
