John, we recently let you know about our big End of Year goal to raise another $45,826 before December 31 at midnight and we wanted to reach out to you with an update on our progress.

While we have made some progress on this goal, as of this morning we are still pacing behind where we need to be. Can we count on you to make a donation of whatever you can right now to help us ramp up our progress?

This isn’t the email we wanted to send you at this point but it’s important we are on the same page when it comes to our fundraising. We are about to head into some of the most important, yet most difficult fundraising weeks of the year. 

As folks take the needed and deserved time to relax, it means that not as many folks will be looking at emails like these — emails we count on to raise a huge sum of the fundraising we need to keep up our work to elect and protect progressive DAs.

What we raise now will give us a good picture of just how many fights we’ll be able to take on in 2023 — and by the looks of it, we’ll need to be ready to get involved in a number of different races to defend our DAs in Virginia who have re-elections, and elect even more DAs who will hold police accountable, free innocent people, and pursue justice.

Progressive prosecutors are under attack more than EVER. With our successful wins growing our movement in 2022, we know that even more GOP mega donor-funded opponents will come out of the woodwork in the coming months — and we need to be as prepared as possible in the new year to help more leaders win while protecting the DAs we have elected. 

That’s why we CANNOT afford to stop short on our fundraising this month. We don’t want to have to slow down our efforts when we get back to work in 2023 after the holidays.

So please, can you help us pick the pace back up so we can hit our End of Year goal together? Every single dollar you can give will power our work into 2023 to elect and protect even more progressive District Attorneys!
