Hi John,
We are excited to welcome you, our beloved community, back in-person for the 35th Annual All Peoples Celebration [[link removed]] on January 16, 2023 at 10am. We invite you to join us as we honor Dr. King and recommit to his teachings on building bridges. The great orator and leader simply stated “Let’s build bridges, not walls”. Dr. King spent his life advocating for the breakdown of walls and barriers. Walls of discrimination, division, and disparity. He knew that walls are symbolic of fear and ignorance, whereas bridges represented understanding and coming together. Every day, in every action, we should build bridges of inclusion that radically restructure our society. This year we invite you to practice the art of connecting with intention.

[[link removed]] Better Half is a violin and guitar duo that pulls on your nostalgic heartstrings, specializing in acoustic covers of emo / pop punk / indie music. After playing music together for almost six years, violinist Regina Tolley and guitarist Allen de la Rosa started Better Half, a violin and guitar duo specializing in setting the mood for weddings, elopements, engagements, and any occasion people come together to celebrate. The duo originally met back in late 2012, and were in an internationally-touring world punk band together for almost 6 years (they toured in the US, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, etc.). They have so much fun playing music together, and love bringing emotion and nostalgia to their performances.

They are building bridges connecting diverse communities in positive ways through musical performance, advocacy and education. Their programs are designed to offer choir members the hope, dignity and drive to begin again. Choir members are given the space and opportunity to connect with themselves again and from there they begin to connect them with the local resources necessary to help them get into shelter and employment.
