As of Dec. 16, 7,109 Galveston County residents have received their updated bivalent booster vaccine, 238,911 residents have received at least one vaccine but not the updated bivalent booster vaccine and 109,042 residents are not vaccinated.??

To date, a total of 23,457 probable cases have been reported for Galveston County. As stated previously, probable cases are reported separate from confirmed cases. A probable case means a person tested positive for antigens or antibodies and also met the probable case definition from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Probable cases are not included in the county's confirmed case count because an antibody test and antigen test are not lab confirmed PCR tests.??
